In the Right to a Life of Dignity
A wide meaning should be given to the word “life” used in the Constitution to include not merely sustenance but also ‘enjoyment’ of life. The Constitution guarantees a fundamental right to “dignity” and “life” and read together, the question is, whether there is dignity in life without proper food, clothing, shelter, education, clean atmosphere and an unpolluted environment
